The worlds of Kees Rijken.
‘Kees Rijken, a successful art director for many years, decided in his own words “at a later age” to do what he really wanted to do, photography. Rich seems to control everything. In all incompleteness: architecture, landscapes, street photography, austere advertising-like portraits, animals depicted in wildness that can be described as romantic, the love between man and animal.
And what touches me most: travel photography that reminds of writers such as Ernest Hemingway, Jack Kerouac and Jack London. Photography that drags you into the presumably fundamental human urge to want to see and experience more, in other worlds…’
