Ana is a visual artist with a background in graphic design, fashion photography and film. ANA gets her inspiration from fashion, art, people and psychology.

Ana was born in Maputo, Mozambique and adopted by her Dutch adoptive parents when she was 3 months old. Ana grew up lovingly in a Dutch family, where everyone was welcome. Her adoptive background and being a black woman made her struggle to find love within herself and her identity. Going through different therapies worked for her another kind of therapy and that is making art in the form of making digital illustrations. It has given her many insights into herself, she has been able to embrace herself of who she is and what she can be. She has found love within herself, the best gift you can give yourself.


With Ana's work she wants to show the beauty of the black woman. Strength, love, healing and empowerment are also central to her art and in collaboration with other organizations.
