"When I look at photos of models I see a dream world with perfect heads, bodies, clothes and shoes. Once I thought that world in the photos really existed somewhere, like a parallel world, a paradise to which I had no access. Later I realized that this world is fake and certainly not paradisiacal, but a fabricated reality, an invented illusion. In the photo series 'Sugar' I edited fashion photos with sugar, so that there a new alienating illusion arises, a sweet sugar mask."
