Puck Soetens (1970) lives and works in The Hague. In 2014 she completed her education at the Photo Academy in Rotterdam. Since then she has been working as an independent photographer. In addition to portrait, business and documentary work, she has focused on floral still lifes since the corona pandemic. In search of her own style and inspired by the painter Jan Mankes, she has been working on the series 'Portaits of a Flower' for some time now. As with the portraits of people, her flower still lifes are austere and apparently simple. The images are successful for her if they appear natural and realistic, but where the viewer is still misled.
